Adjustments

I’ve been in Siena for 3 days now, but I have yet to actually experience the city.

Yes I’ve walked the labyrinth of streets, with it’s medieval architecture and steep alleys. Yes I’ve laid on the slopping Piazza del Campo at night and gazed at the stars. But still, class started yesterday and I. AM. EXHAUSTED.

We made plans to explore il Duomo today, but when we got back from class we could barely make it out to get groceries for tonight’s dinner. I got my Italian SIM card after I said I would 5 days ago. I FINALLY unpacked my suitcase today. And not to mention taking 5 hours straight of classes taught completely in a foreign language is both physically and mentally draining.

I want to say it’s just me adjusting to the new environment. Now that I’m unpacked, have a clear mind, and I’m getting used to the university schedule, I’m going to begin planning things to do after class and cities to travel to on the weekends.
